Vinicius Lima

Vinicius Lima is an Associate Professor of Graphic Design in the Department of Visual and Media Arts at Grand Valley State University in Allendale, MI. He teaches courses in Typography, Symbol development, Print Layouts, UX Design, UI Design, and Branding Strategy and Identity. He currently serves as Education Director for AIGA West Michigan. Prior to teaching in Michigan, Vinicius taught at the University of Iowa School of Art and Art History, when he was responsible for developing the web design curriculum for the Graphic Design Department. A native Brazilian, Vinicius has a Bachelor of Architecture and Urban Design from the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, and a MA and MFA degrees in Design from the University of Iowa, when he practiced graphic and three-dimensional design as well. He is also a practicing designer, with large experience designing exhibition catalogs. Vinicius' work has been recognized multiple times by design awards and in national and international exhibitions.
