Jean Nagy

I am an associate professor of Graphic Design in the Department of Art & Design at MTSU. I received my AB degree from St. Michael’s College in Vermont and completed my MFA at The Pennsylvania State University.
Every semester my students and I complete pro bono work for local non-profits including United Way, UNICEF, Stones River Regional Library, Salvation Army, Kymari House, The Wonderful Life Foundation, Children’s Advocacy Centers of Tennessee, Nurses for Newborns, and the Main Street JazzFest.
Throughout the years I have been a designer/design consultant/coordinator for Uncle Dave Macon Days Festival, American Cancer Society, Nashville Cares, Journal of Kentucky-Tennessee American Studies Association, State Farm Insurance Company, Middle Tennessee American Orff-Schulwerk Association and The Friends of Fall Creek Falls State Park Inc. to name a few.
Prior to coming to MTSU I worked as a program coordinator and data manager for a federal grant program, writing and proofreading grant proposals, and processing survey data and entering it into a statistic software package. I have also worked in several graphics departments of local newspapers.
