Chad Reichert

Chad Reichert is Professor of Communication Design at the College for Creative Studies in Detroit where he teaches typography, motion design, communication design and graphic design history.  Chad has lectured nationally and abroad on topics including typography, motion design and design education. His recent presentations include Design Incubation Colloquium 7.1, MODE 19, TypeCon, Drake University among many others.  Chad is Co-founder of spirit3foundation, a charitable purpose organization that is committed to supporting the production, consumption and distribution of food resources in communities that are financially insecure. He was also President of AIGA Detroit, the Professional Association for Design. In that capacity he created opportunities to celebrate the rich heritage of Michigan graphic design and increase awareness of that tradition regionally and nationally. Prior to that position he served as Programming Chair. Chad received his BSFA in graphic design & photography from Valparaiso University, attended graduate school at the California Institute of Arts and completed his MFA in graphic design from the Minneapolis College of Art and Design.
